Effective Date: March 2026

This policy applies to all users of the Heal Africa Initiative website and digital services.

1

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you donate, volunteer, subscribe to updates, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, phone number (where provided), and payment information processed securely by third-party processors. We do not store full payment card details. We also collect standard website analytics data (page views, device type, referral source) through privacy-respecting tools.

2

How We Use Your Information

Information you provide is used to process donations and issue receipts, communicate programme updates and impact reports, respond to your enquiries, improve our website and user experience, and send newsletters (with your explicit consent). We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

3

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected — typically three to seven years for donation records (to meet legal obligations), or until you withdraw consent for communications. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

4

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data; to object to processing; to request a copy of your data (data portability); and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@healafrica.org.

5

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to maintain session state and measure traffic patterns. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect some website functionality.

6

Third-Party Services

We use Stripe, PayPal, and Paystack for payment processing; Sanity CMS for content management; and Vercel for hosting. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies for information on how they handle data.

7

Contact & Updates

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@healafrica.org. We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered subscribers. Last updated: March 2026.
