Who We Are
Heal Africa Group is a Pan-African development organization dedicated to trauma recovery, holistic community healing, ethical leadership formation, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development across the African continent.
We work across West, East, and Southern Africa, engaging governments, civil society, academic institutions, and communities to build the human and institutional foundations that sustainable development requires.
Our Approach
Our five-phase model is grounded in community psychology, African cultural wellness traditions, and evidence-based trauma-informed development practice.

We begin with deep community listening sessions, understanding the specific histories, challenges, and needs of each group.

Contextual Assessment
We contextualise challenges through evidence-based assessment, helping communities and individuals understand the root causes of the issues they face.

Structured Intervention
Structured cohort sessions guide participants through evidence-based trauma processing and leadership development, in culturally resonant formats.

Capacity Building
We build leadership capacity, equipping every participant with tools to become an agent of change in their own community.

Alumni become peer facilitators, creating a self-sustaining cycle of development that multiplies impact across generations.

I sincerely want to thank you for the efforts, consistency, time and resources you invested into the concept, planning and flawless execution of the "Light has come" conference held in Togo on the 16th–18th April 2026.

From The Field
If you lead a community in Africa, you have seen it. The anger that has no clear source. The distrust that makes cooperation nearly impossible. The silence that sits in rooms where honest conversation should be. The cycles that repeat themselves in families, in neighborhoods, in institutions no matter how many programmes are launched or policies are changed.
One of the least discussed realities of growing up in Africa is how much of what we carry emotionally was never ours to begin with. The rage that surprises you. The defensiveness that costs you relationships. The wall that goes up the moment someone gets too close. These are not personality flaws. For many of us, they are inheritance.
Across the continent, there are men and women holding entire communities together. The pastor who counsels marriages while his own emotional life is a closed room. The traditional ruler who mediates conflict between families while carrying unresolved grief from his own. The community health worker who sits with people in their darkest moments and then goes home to silence. The nonprofit leader who has given everything to a cause and cannot remember the last time someone asked how she was doing and meant it.
